Over 200 vulnerable people needing repairs and adaptations to their homes have contacted the Care & Repair service since it become part of the District Council in April this year.
The service which started as a charity in 1995, helps improve homes across East Cambridgeshire as caseworkers visit people in their own homes to discuss their needs.
Officers also support people through the work process from arranging planning applications, obtaining contractors’ quotations and inspecting the building work.
