Ely Feast Community Group given go ahead at last..!
But it is too late...!!!

The Ely Feast Committee has at last been given permission to have "Amplified Music" at their proposed Community Festival to be held at the 2nd choice venue of Lavenders Land at Willow Walk after Local Residents voted overwhelmingly to accept "Amplified Music" following the Councils long awaited survey...

Incidentally, that is where they hold the "AquaFest" which is held, this year on Sunday 7th July. Ely.Org.UK will of course be there to bring you some soggy pics..!

However, back to the Ely Feast Festival due to be held on the the 17th August, (read details here ) and hailed as "The Last Ely Party of 2002" may not go ahead due to the lack of time left to organise things. Because the Committee could not confirm the actual event Entertainers, Stall Holders and other essential ingredients have taken other Bookings.

Nonetheless, the Bar was applied for but Local Entertainment & Alcohol Licence Officer Stephen Clements did not even reply to our phone calls or emails as to the question of whether there was enough time to apply..!
